Florida Massage Continuing Education Instructor Application

Looking to expand your massage career to become a FL CE instructor?

We can take you under our providership! Approved instructors are also encouraged to apply.

Pure Massage makes the process of becoming a continuing education instructor much easier and affordable than going it alone.

We already have a robust platform, approved courses, video teaching materials, and a large following of massage therapist students who love our courses. We “climbed the mountain” of a very complicated process, and now we are ready to welcome instructors on board. Are you a Florida LMT who has a desire to teach, but hesitate because of the FL Massage Board approval process, business complexity, and expense?

Under our providership as our selected instructor candidate, you do not have to figure it all out. You will be invited into our free virtual workshop meeting, and enjoy the process. You can feel confidently prepared, to assist Pure Massage this renewal. Its easy, with video materials to play during class, assist students one on one after they see the hands on techniques, and leave the admin and marketing to us.

Florida Massage License Information

Question #1 What is your legal name?

Question #2 What is your email, phone number, and home address?

Question #3 What is your Florida Massage License Number?

Qualified candidates (Board rules) need to have an active/clear Florida massage license for at least 5 consecutive years.

Modality Training Certificates

Question #4 What modalities have you taken continuing education in?

Question #5 How many total hours of training in each modality?

Question#6 Can you upload and attach your CE certificates to the email? We need these to submit to the FL Board.

Qualified candidates (Board rules) need to have training in the modality they have interest in teaching. We would prefer our current modalities of Trigger Point, Myofascial, and/or Lymphatic. (Reflexology coming soon). But if you are trained in a different modality you would like to teach, that is ok too.

If You Wish to Teach Modalities that are Not Currently FL Approved Under the Pure Massage Providership

Modalities different from Myofascial, Trigger Point, Lymphatic, or Reflexology, will require the instructor, after contract agreement is signed, to create their curriculum, learning objectives, test, and presentation. Pure Massage will assist with guiding the correct process, but the instructor will need to do the work. We will then review that it meets our standards and if so, submit it under our providership, for approval by the Board. Once approved, the instructor will be able to instruct the course. Our approved course modalities do not require the instructor to create the course content.

Modality experience in actual practice

Question #7 How many years after earning your earliest modality certificate have you been actively practicing that modality on clients in your professional practice?

Qualified candidates (Board rules) must have at least 2 years of active practice in the modality you wish to teach.

Internet Technology Experience

Question # 8 Have you ever done a presentation with a laptop and projector?

Question #9 Do you have basic computer skills, such as printing, scan and upload documents, and sending by email?

You will need to own or purchase a laptop, projector, and printer, and be somewhat familiar with how to print a one page handout to each student. The day after class, scan and email us sign in sheets. We can help you if you have no presentation technology experience.

Travel and Teaching Commitments

Question #10 Are you agreeable to the travel commitments listed below?

In the off season months (May-Oct), can you instruct classes in different cities in Florida? (Such as-Orlando, Tampa, West Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, Port St. Lucie, etc) You will pick when and how much you wish to work, so it doesn’t interfere with your other work or life activities.

Phase Two of Selection Process - Virtual Online Interview

Phase Three- Selected Candidates Continue to Board Approval Process

After the interview, we will contact you if you are selected to be an instructor to go on to Phase 3.
Pure Massage will submit an instructor application to the appropriate Boards for approval. Once approved, you will be qualified to instruct our approved courses in the modality that you are qualified to teach.
We will present you with a instructor contract and if you agree and sign, will be hired.
Hired instructors will attend a free one day virtual meeting with Sandra Polizotto, BS, LMT, to understand the details of the live class procedures.
Below is an example of classes and descriptions that we plan to offer in the 2026-2027 FL massage renewal year. There may be more modalities.

We will select candidates for a phase 2 interview within 30 days or less.
If selected, we will arrange a virtual face to face meeting with Sandra for a relaxed vibe interview, scheduled when convenient for you. We want to face time and speak to you, get to know you, and go over your qualifications. We welcome your questions about being our instructor. Pay will only be revealed once you are offered a job.
After this interview process, we will choose candidates we would like to hire, and start phase 3 with them.
